My daughter is two.

I blinked, and my precious daughter changed from a tiny, squirming, helpless pink infant to a three feet tall, running, reading, chattering little girl. I can't say I didn't see it coming. Every day I saw my baby slowly slipping away and being replaced by a child. I guess I just didn't realize how fast the transformation would be. Time takes on a whole new perspective with the coming of a child. And before I knew it, she turned two.

We had a great day celebrating Carly's birthday. We went to Build a Bear, where she chose to make a pink cat she named Daisy. Daisy now sits in her pink butterfly chair sporting a sparkly pink and purple fairy outfit and bows on her ears. Then we went to lunch. After Carly's nap she requested that we hang out at home and play. Then we were off to the kids' mecca of Chuck E Cheese's, where some of the family joined us for pizza and fun. It was a great day.

So now, I am the proud mother of a two-year-old. And what a wonderful thing to be. My daughter is two.
