Funny girl......
I've heard it said that cats and babies don't have personalities. I can assure you that Buster and Cricket are distinctly unique and that Carly, well if you've ever met Carly you know that she shines. Aside from being sweet, loving, curious, and a baby genius, Carly is oh so funny.
From the time I heard her first real laugh like the sound of little tinkling bells, I knew Carly would have a great sense of humor. She was only about three months old then, and has since become quite the comedienne. Carly loves to make us laugh and goes out of her way to do silly things. She makes funny noises, imitates others, and even tells jokes. The two she currently knows are the classic "Why did the chicken cross the road?" and "Why did the bee go to the doctor?" She tells them with flair and even adds flourish to the punchlines. Of course we indulge her with a response of hilarity, and that makes her beam.
One of Carly's favorite games is "I'm gonna get you!" or most the most recent variation due to her obsession with all things Cinderella, "Here comes Bruno!" In case you are lacking in your Cinderella knowledge, Bruno is the old hound dog that chases away the nasty cat, Lucifer. In the former, I hide behind a wall, the couch, whatever, and surprise her. Then I put my arms out wide and stomp around saying "I'm gonna get you!" to which she shrieks with glee and takes off running, slowing down only so she can be caught and smothered with kisses. The latter involves much of the same, but with more barking and growling and me on my hands and knees.
Carly keeps us in stitches with her silliness, or Siwwy Wiwwy, as she says. With her brains, beauty, and personality, our funny girl will be just fine.
